Get listed in search engine results

Image via WikipediaEasy ways to get your blogs or websites listed in search engine results - If you do an internet search for your own blog or website you can see what sites are linking to your blog and also how they have managed to get into the search results. You can rely on submitting your blog link or website to blog search directories or just to search engines but unless your website or blog is really popular, has a very high page rank or filled with good keywords you can’t be guaranteed to get a lot of readers or visitors like this.

Using popular blog directories, social networking sites, free article directories and bookmarking websites are a very good way of getting your favorite blog posts, blogs and websites listed on search engines.

Try bookmarking and advertising a few of your sites, posts or blog on the advertising websites you‘re a member of. Wait a couple of weeks and do a search for your blog on popular search engines like Google, Yahoo, MSN, Exact Seek and others. You will see listings come up that have been picked up by the search engines just from bookmarking, networking and using other free advertising sites like free article directories and services like Hub pages or Qassia.

Once you’ve done this, keep adding new links and articles to these websites so that you get more blog posts on specific subjects listed in the Search Engines.

Bookmark your blog posts

Image by alemdag via FlickrHere's an idea to get more blog readers - If you write your posts on specific topics you could always take a few of those posts and bookmark them at your favorite bookmarking sites. Use them like you are telling a kind of story or giving some information. Maybe choose your best 3 posts out of 10 on a certain topic and post them to the bookmarking websites. For example if you have a series of posts over time on social networking choose 3 which you think will grab a readers attention and make them want to read more.

It has been recommended by top bloggers to refer back to earlier posts or related posts in some of your blog posts you write. Like this, if you refer to some of your previous posts in your chosen articles you’re bookmarking anyone who reads the bookmarked posts will see links to other posts they may also be interested in.

FolkD easy to use bookmarking sidebar

FolkD is another free bookmarking service online. The FolkD toolbar can be used as a sidebar on your browser. You can highlight text which automatically goes on your bookmark when you click ok and you can add comments for the page plus the relevant keyword tags. You can also chat online with other members, using the chat box . Plus you can view related web pages to the one you’re viewing, other members who bookmarked the site and send any page by email. It’s very easy and quick to use and god for anyone wanting to keep an online record of their bookmarks in an easy to read and organized way.

Stumble your bookmarks as a blog

Another good bookmarking service to use is StumbleUpon. Your Stumble Upon bookmarks come up as a blog and a there is also a thumbnail picture of the website or blog you have bookmarked. Plus you can stumble around websites using the toolbar, add favorites, add your own comments and network with other members. You can look at photos and videos in different categories and add them as you go along. You can also share your stumble bookmarks by bookmarking your Stumble blog. You can add categories of interests and when you click Stumble you can browse through your categories, by country or by individual members bookmarks. Just click I like it or I don’t like it to save it to your favorites. Use Squidoo to earn, advertise, knowledge

Squidoo is another service which is free and where you can earn money. You will get a share of revenue made from a lot of affiliate programs, advertising and google advertising. Like hub pages a lens is a 1 page website where you can add text, products for sale, links and links to other squidoo lenses.

They are very easy to set up and a very good way to advertise your other affiliate programs, websites and blogs. You can also join groups and network with other squidoo members. Your squidoo pages can act as your one stop resource for your chosen topics. You can use rss feeds, blog news, products for sale, you tube videos, flickr and other photos as well. Plus Squidoo pages are listed in search engines so it is another great way to advertise your websites, blogs, and affiliate programs or products. You can also buy squidoo lenses and sell them so it is worth checking out. Hub pages for revenue and online exposure

Hub Pages are one page websites which are easy to create. You apply for a free membership and create a hub. Then you write a short article on any topic you want. You have different modules, text, amazon ads, eBay ads and can add your google ad sense Id as well to earn more with. Plus if you link to someone else’s hub and add your referral id, you can earn 10% of the advertising revenue made from their hubs. Don’t write advertisements or use affiliate links. But you can use 2 links in your text to promote whatever you want just like in a free article. The good thing about hub pages is that they usually show up in search engine listings and are a good way of indirect advertising for your affiliate programs and online websites or blogs. You can add articles to your online magazines you make or add to ones already started by members. Zimbio is so easy to use. You can add all your blogs and let Zimbio ping them so they have your latest news. Zimbio will add your posts to their online magazines automatically and you can also add ones in the queue manually.

Plus you can also make your own magazine covers and albums or book covers, get the embed code and share on your websites or blogs or to your favorite social networking site. Or you can choose from one of the already made covers by zimbio members, add to it or just embed using the html code they give you.

HOT TIP

If you subscribe to a lot of wikizines, you can highlight the articles you like, copy the first few lines of the text, with a link to the source of the article, comment on it and add it as a blog post on your blog.

TIPS ON USING RSS FEEDS - GET FRESH CONTENT FOR YOUR BLOGS - If you use a feed reader service like Google, Omega, Bloglines or Yahoo you can subscribe to blog and website feeds to keep updated on the latest news, articles and posts. If you are a blogger this can be a very useful way of adding some fresh content to your posts.

HERE ARE A COUPLE OF TIPS ON HOW TO USE FEEDS FOR BLOGGERS

Group your feeds in categories. Then you can do a weekly look through of all your new updates in your feeds. Choose the posts you think your readers will like, copy the title and a few lines of the text and article source. Make sure the links are live, or clickable. Paste these into your blog post, or notepad. Then post your weekly news on a certain subject from your favorite blogs and websites.

TIP - Don’t just use this content for all your blog posts, but twice a week is a good idea.
Don’t do this for articles from article directories as you have to post the whole article as explained in the publisher guidelines on individual article directories.

TIP - Using zemanta? Add a photo and some other article links to make your post look even better.

Bookmarking and Automatic Blogging

Image via Wikipedia. If you are using Digg, digg.com/users/cyberbabescool, as a bookmarking service you can also add one of your blogs and send your findings directly to your blog. Just browse through sites in your favorite categories or as you browse the internet digg articles, blog posts and web pages. Then write some text and submit, Digg will ask you if you want to blog this bookmark. When you say yes, Digg automatically links to the website in your post. I think they only allow 1 blog to be added but you can change it anytime.

Faves, faves.com/users/cyberbabe, is another great bookmarking service. Bookmark your favorite websites and fave ones other members have added. You can also add any blog of your choice and Faves will read your RSS feed, automatically updating and bookmarking posts which are relevant to their categories. Great!!

And remember you can add the bookmarklet buttons to your browsers for each of these websites so that you can easily bookmark a post, article or web page as you come across it.

You'll see how many visitors there have been to your blog, how many subscribers, and predictions of how many new subscribers there will be in 3 months, 6 months or even 1 year. This is a good tool and it's free to use. Feed Burner is a free service you can use to burn feeds with. You can add google ads ad feed burner ads (in BETA) to your feeds, and use a whole lot of other free features to make your posts and website updates look good. You can also use a subscribe by email feature to get readers to subscribe to your blog or feed and also check your website stats, blog visits and more.

The good thing about Senserely Yours is that yit is a Google Adsense revenue sharing program and you will find that your earnings add up once you contribute to the website more. You can also embed photos in your posts, videos, and write on anything you want. You will also be able to add contacts, comment on other blogs, write pbook pages and join forums.
